When we think of stew, we think cold days and a warm kitchen filled with comforting aromas of a long braised stew. What makes a great stew? Itís the flavors melting into one another with tender pieces of meat and layers upon layers of flavor. Join Marcia to learn braising techniques to build flavor foundations and uncover the secrets to meltingly tender meats. Irish Beef Stew with Guinness served in a homemade Crusty Bread Bowl; Italian Chicken Cacciatore with Creamy Polenta; and French Lamb Stew with Red Wine and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Learn cuts of beef to choose and working with chicken and lamb (local lamb). You will learn many valuable cooking techniques in this class. You are welcome to bring wine.
